Knowing which loose tea to try can be difficult if you’ve only ever drunk tea made from tea bags before.  Where should you start with loose tea?

Green teas is a popular choice of loose tea.  It has many health benefits and is mentioned frequently in the media. What about the other sorts of loose teas?

Loose tea such as green tea and black tea provide many health benefits such as helping to fight cancer and helping to reduce the risk of heart disease, strokes and diabetes.

Once you have found a loose tea you like, you need to follow the instructions to ensure that you make it properly.  Because different loose tea needs different brewing times and water temperatures, getting the brewing process right is vital.  Getting it wrong can ruin the taste, and stop you from enjoying your loose tea. When cooking, you would follow a recipe or read the instructions, and the same can be applied to brewing loose tea.

Loose tea can be compared to wine for teas from different countries taste different for all the same reasons that wines taste different.  Loose teas are available from the leading tea producing countries including India, China, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Japan.  Each country and style of loose tea has its own distinctive flavours and tastes.
